We do not provide lunch on drop off or pick up days, but can accommodate special situations if advised in advance. For instance, you may be flying out of Burlington late on Saturday afternoon. In this case, we would provide you with a bag lunch.
Travel
If you will be flying unaccompanied into Burlington International Airport (BTV) and require transportation to camp, please email Ellen Setser with your flight information at least two weeks before camp so that she can arrange for someone to pick you up at the airport.
Wing Runner Course
The Soaring Safety Foundation offers a free, online Wing Runner Course and we strongly suggest that you take it before arriving at camp. Safe soaring operations depend upon good coordination between the glider pilot, tow pilot, and ground crew. The course will give you the information that you’ll need to work safely on the flight line.
Living Unplugged
We believe that it is important for campers take a break from the pressures of instant communication and social media. We ask that you leave electronic devices in your tent and connect, instead, on a deeper level with those around you. You’ll build real relationships and focus on your flying. There have been no complaints from past campers about this and in fact we’re sure that, like them, you’ll enjoy the respite!
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me at any time.
